Welcome to the June edition of Artist of The Month. The artist chosen by the public this month is Nicol and what a great decision it was! Not only is she mouth-wateringly good looking shes a pretty awesome performer too! Enjoy!
Piewatch - When did you first realise you had a talent for making music?
When I was a little kid I was messing about on this electric mini keyboard with light up keys that my dad got me, I just got totally hooked on it! The first song I ever played at 3 was ‘Happy Birthday’!
Piewatch - You strongly believe in a ‘higher power’ and your own psychic ability, how would you describe that ability of yours and how does it contribute to your music?
I have always felt pretty spiritual from a young age, it sounds crazy- but I have always had the ability to read people and understand them! When I’m on stage I feel particularly connected to the audience, somehow I manage to draw them in & right then and there we all have this awesome spiritual connection.
Piewatch - You’ve got a cool uncle one would say (formerly a guitarist etc-) did that give you extra courage/desire to be in music business?
Yeh he is a rocking guitarist, I am really lucky to have someone like him around. He was actually my first manager and taught me a lot about songwriting, highly inspirational to be around- he could strike a couple of chords on the acoustic and it would have me totally inspired- he makes songwriting seem effortless

Piewatch - Who are your major influences? Any unusual ones?
Major influences are many and varied. I grew up with an array of music- many faves driving around in my dad’s car, listening to the likes of ‘Fleetwood Mac, Duran Duran, Sheryl Crow ( I often forced this one upon him!) ton of 80’s and I would sit playing a load of his old record collection which included Elton John, David Bowie, The Kinks etc… I later went on to discover Alannis Morisette, more Sheryl Crow, Amiee Mann & Melanie in my teens

Promoting my music & a bag of pic n’mix!
Piewatch - Who do you currently like in the charts?
Loving U2’s new stuff at the moment & Red Light Company
Piewatch - If you could have any super power what would it be?
To be able to time travel!
Piewatch - Elvis dead or alive?
Definitely dead- some things are meant to be- everyone has a time to live
Piewatch - Any irrational phobias?
Spiders- I hate them- they sicken me
Piewatch - Mcdonalds or Burger King?
Maccy D’s everytime- but burger king coca cola with ice yehh!
